Pay for car repairs over time

Car repairs rarely wait for payday. At Family Automotive in Port Jefferson Station, you can pay for repairs, maintenance, tires and parts with the Synchrony Car Care credit card.

You see the estimate before any work starts. Then you decide how to pay.

Synchrony Bank and Snap Finance decide who is approved.

How the card works

Synchrony Car Care is a credit card for car repairs, maintenance, tires and parts. Synchrony Bank issues the card and decides who is approved, and you make your payments to Synchrony, not to us.

Once you have the card, you can use it here again and at other places in the U.S. that take Synchrony Car Care.

How to avoid deferred interest

A promotional offer on the card is deferred interest. Interest adds up from the day of the purchase. Pay the whole promotional balance before the promotion ends and you pay none of that interest. If any of it is left when the promotion ends, all of the interest from the purchase date is charged to your account.

  • Put the whole repair on one receipt: the purchase has to reach the offer's amount on one receipt.
  • The minimum monthly payment may not pay off the balance in time. Divide the purchase by the months in the promotion, and pay at least that each month.
  • Note the day the promotion ends, and pay the balance off before it.

Before you sign

  • Ask for the estimate in writing first.
  • Read Synchrony's terms, including the APR, before you use the card.
  • Paying with cash, a debit card or another credit card is always fine too.

Snap Finance: lease-to-own for tires and parts

Snap’s lease-to-own isn’t a loan or a credit card. Snap buys the tires or parts from us and leases them to you, and they’re yours once the lease is paid in full. A lease usually costs more than paying up front, so read the total cost in the lease before you sign.

Lease-to-own offered by Snap RTO LLC. Snap decides who is approved. Not available to residents of Minnesota, New Jersey and Wisconsin.
